Choosing Your Block to Edit

Once you have chosen the game, you can then choose which existing block in that game you want to edit. You’ll be shown a list of the blocks in that game. Click on the name of the block that you want to edit. In this case, we’re selecting to the runner game block. You’ll be asked if you want to edit or delete your runner game block. Click on edit.

Runner Game Block Editor – Changing Details and Images

After choosing to edit your runner game block, you’ll be directed to the Runner Game Block Editor. Using the top of the Runner Game Block Editor, you can change the details for your runner game, such as the instructions, the label for the collision counter, the message players get when they have too many collisions, and more. The text that you previously entered will already be in the text fields, so you can delete and update the text as needed. Or add text if you previously left a text field blank.

Then scroll to the bottom of the Runner Game Block Editor. There you will be able to change the images for your background, the runner, the goal, and the obstacle.

To change the background image, click on the current background image to open the asset manager. Using the asset manager, you can select the image that you want to replace the current background image for your runner game block. Or you can click on the “Upload Asset” button in the asset manager in order to upload a new image. When uploading a new image, click on “Choose File”, select the image you want to upload, and click “Save Images”.

Once you have uploaded your new image or if you are selecting another image already uploaded, make sure to click on the image that you want to select as your new background image. Selecting the image will show you those image’s details, there you can click on the “Select” button to make that image your new background for your runner game block. Repeat these steps in order to change the images for the runner, the goal, and the obstacle as well, if needed.

Note: The updated images will not appear in the Runner Game Editor until you save the changes and exit the editor. Upon returning to the Runner Game Editor, you’ll see the updated images you set for your runner game.

Once you have finished making the desired changes to your runner game block using the Runner Game Block Editor, click on the “Submit Options Edits” button at the bottom of the editor to save those changes. You’ll then be shown a pop-up message indicating that the changes were saved. Clicking “Ok” takes you back to the editor where you can continue to make changes or you can scroll down to the bottom of the editor where you can create another block, create/edit another game, or log out.
